CCA’s ANNUAL STEM EXPO – If You Can See It, You Can Be It!
Did you know that Airshow is MORE than just jets flying overhead?
A highlight of the 2021 show was the exclusive invitation-only STEM Expo – Made for Girls held on Friday, September 24th in Sacramento Jet Center’s spacious Hangar One with a stellar lineup of accomplished women role models and mentors. A diverse gathering of 200 students from across the region had the privilege of learning about careers in aviation, aerospace and STEM as well as being inspired to join the ranks of the newsworthy panelists.
IT’S SIMPLY HARD TO BE SOMETHING YOU CAN’T SEE. Aviation, aerospace & STEM industries are missing out on a huge pool of talent and exceptional leaders. The California Capital Airshow (CCA) is an active participant in changing these slow-moving trends and takes every opportunity to stimulate interest at every age, gender and background towards these high paying, in-demand jobs.
CCA is excited to deliver youth programs that help our region’s future workforce take flight! These programs are not only designed to only showcase the educational paths available and extraordinary career opportunities in aviation, aerospace, and STEM but also provide role models, ideas, and mentors that clearly show young people the path to take to find their passion. This year we are taking the STEM Expo to the next level, with more than 300 students (boys & girls) and a weekend full of hands-on experiences for participating students.
