Join in the fun and be a part of the action as a ‘WINGMAN’!

Airshow Volunteers get a backstage pass to the sights, sounds and excitement of this massive festival from the ground up. We are looking for adults, age 18 and older, to volunteer their time working a minimum of 8-10 hours both Saturday AND Sunday. Volunteers will get lunch, water throughout the day, an awesome ‘Airshow Crew’ t-shirt, the chance to make some new friends and our deepest gratitude for supporting this nonprofit event!

What qualities make great candidate to Volunteer at the Airshow?

  • Customer-service driven – relish helping LOTS of people!
  • Enjoy giving back to their community and inspiring the next generation
  • Appreciate a fun, fast-paced, high-energy work environment that is outdoors

Rules of Engagement:

  • Must be able to work BOTH Saturday, October 5 AND Sunday, October 6
  • Must arrive on time and be able to work all day (8-10 hours)
  • Must reply to email & phone communications leading up to the Airshow
  • Must be comfortable on your feet and in the sun for a portion of the day

All applications require Airshow management approval. All volunteers must complete this form each year.

In the air, on the ground and throughout the year, the non-profit California Capital Airshow is dedicated to honoring our past and inspiring the future. In addition to the Airshow, produces a variety of programs and events year-round designed to inspire young people; creating exciting educational environments that clearly show how science, technology, engineering and math are the tools needed to accomplish great things. The Airshow also gives back to the community through scholarships, charitable donations supporting other nonprofits throughout the region…and its almost completely produced by volunteers! Become a Volunteer 2019

    The undersigned releases and holds harmless the Capital Airshow Group, a California non-profit corporation, doing business as the California Capital Airshow, the County of Sacramento, the City of Rancho Cordova, Cordova Community Council, and their agents, successors and assigns from any and all actions, causes of action, claims or demands for damages, personal injuries and death, and property damage or loss arising out of my participation in any capacity in any activities directly or indirectly associated with the California Capital Airshow.
    I understand that this agreement specifically includes the use of any motor vehicle either personal or borrowed either on or off Airshow premises and that I am taking personal responsibility for any vehicle that I operate.
    Fully understanding that air shows are activities that include situations that pose a danger to me and my personal property, I hereby acknowledge and assume all risk of injuries or damage to my minor child or ward’s person or property. No promise or inducement, which is not herein expressed has been made to me, and in executing this Release. I do not rely upon any statement or representation made by any person or their agent.
    I further state that I carefully read the foregoing Release and know the contents thereof, and I have accepted the same as my own free act. I further acknowledge that additional information may be requested depending on the area in which I may be assigned to.
    I understand and agree that the scope of my relationship to the California Capital Airshow is limited to a volunteer position and that no compensation is expected in return for services provided. I further understand and agree that nothing in this Agreement creates or is intended to create a promise, expectation, or representation of compensation or employment. I also understand and agree that either party may terminate the relationship at any time.
