Fly-In To The Show

Greetings fellow aviators!

We wanted to reach out and share some exciting news — the California Capital Airshow is BACK this October 10-11 at Mather Airport with not one but TWO jet teams the USAF Thunderbirds and Canadian Forces Snowbirds!

We are bringing back the night show! This allows us to hold our event later in the day and deliver pyrotechnics, fireworks, and walls of fire to thrill the crowds after the jets land. The show is moving from our normal timing to one that takes place later in the day, into sunset and dark allowing for slightly cooler temperatures. Parking gates will open at 12:00pm and flying performances will begin at 3pm and conclude at 8pm.

Second, we are reducing the footprint of our massive display ramp — just for this year. This will allow us to provide ample security personnel to protect our valued guests and plenty of light towers to send everyone home when the show concludes.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate fly-in aircraft for the 2026 Airshow and are limiting our displays to military and agency aircraft. Not only do we LOVE general aviation pilots, but we ARE general aviation pilots. We hope you appreciate CCA bringing this unforgettable experience to our fans. We plan to ‘return to normal’ next year with a full ramp size and traditional showtimes.
