CCA Honored to Host AF Heritage Flight & Navy Legacy Flight
Each year, we honor our past by offering Airshow attendees the opportunity to step back in time and show our gratitude to the men and women who serve and sacrifice. This year’s tributes are bigger and better than ever before with not just ONE but TWO teams!
Air Force Heritage Flight
The Air Force Heritage Flight Foundation was formed in 2010, with the primary charitable mission of providing Heritage Flights to the public. These performances feature modern fighter and attack aircraft flying alongside World War II, Korea and Vietnam-era planes in a dramatic display of our nation’s air power history. These formations serve as a living memorial to the men and women who have served – or are currently serving – in the U.S. Air Force, and we proudly fly in support of Air Force recruiting and retention efforts.
This year at CCA the fifth generation F-22 Raptor will fly alongside the WWII P-38 Lightning to honor the contributions of every man and woman who has served in the USAF while educating the general public on the importance of the U.S. Air Force and its mission.
Navy Legacy FlightÂ
The Navy Legacy Flight Foundation showcases the time-honored service and sacrifice of those who have flown in defense of our great nation. The program matches today’s frontline military fighters with their predecessors in close flight maneuvers at air shows nationwide.
At CCA you will see the E/A-18G “Growler” Electronic Countermeasure aircraft fly on the wing of the Word War II F4U Corsair for an amazing tribute to Naval Aviators both past and present.
