The United States Air Force Thunderbirds are officially joining Italy’s National Demonstration Team Frecce Tricolori at this year’s evening Airshow! That means you’re getting two world-famous demonstration teams at the California Capital Airshow’s 2024 Evening Extravaganza!
An Evening of Aviation Adventure Like No Other — From Day to Dusk and Night!
This July 13-14 (Saturday and Sunday) will blow your mind—literally. Think of this year’s show as the best of all worlds. You get to see some of the best pilots in the world fly during the day, dusk, and night. Then, add in heaps of full-tilt afterburner. All topped off with a jaw-dropping pyro-musical fireworks display.
Exciting Changes to 2024 Show
Parking gates open at 3:30 pm each day. Inside the Airshow gates, you will enjoy miles of fascinating displays, the opportunity to get close to unique aircraft and meet aircrew, and the chance to grab a bite from one of our many concession booths.
Flying performances will spool up at 5:30 pm (Saturday and Sunday), featuring four hours of nonstop, action-packed entertainment with aircraft worldwide—think day, sunset, and night performances. Our military performers will fly from 6-9pm, leading into the spectacular Night Show performances, pyrotechnics and fireworks!
Our headlining performer, Italy’s National Military Demonstration Team—Frecce Tricolori—will perform their world-famous 10-jet routine both days! With tri-colored smoke, the Italians bring the precision and skill of low-level formation aerobatics.
Evening Golden Hour + Afterburner = Jaw-Dropping Photos!
Golden hour is the hour before sunrise and after sunset. Because we’re an evening airshow you will get to see aircraft demonstrations like never before. With the sun set, you get no harsh shadows and the possibility of afterburner shock-diamonds! The best part is the ability to capture truly stunning photographs!
A Pyro-Musical Fireworks Finale!
The ‘Magic in the Air’ will conclude at 10:00 pm with a jaw-dropping pyro-musical fireworks show you won’t soon forget!

We expect discount ticket blocks to sell out rapidly, as in previous launches. Additionally, this year’s Airshow could sell out before July 13 and 14 because of the limited number of tickets available. So please get your tickets while they’re available!

As an essential reminder, in 2024, tickets are NOT AVAILABLE for purchase at the gate. This is done to expedite entry for all attendees.
