What do you get when you combine a group of U.S. Navy SEALS, an elite Navy Leap Frog, an Air Force fighter pilot, one high-altitude military freefall specialist, a few Navy Special Ops guys and an explosives technician?
Human flight has been in veins of several Patriot Parachute Team members since birth! Many of them come from a spirited lineage of pilots who have shared the freedom of flight and ingrained a deep respect for the sky. This fearless band of parachute jumpers feels that dedicating itself to working with fellow veterans and sharing their own stories and struggles makes a difference in the lives of others who have selflessly served.
“You get to be around the guys that you risked your life with, trained with, and who you know have your back,” said Team Leader Isaiah Maring about starting the Patriot Parachute Team with fellow veteran Justin Gonzales. “We get a little bit of adrenaline and risk factor by jumping into events and that’s really what military members need and miss. We live for raising awareness for veterans transitioning into civilian life and inspiring the next generation to do great things and NEVER quit!”
The Patriot Parachute Team performs around 50 jumps across North America each year, including being selected by to appear in feature films, such as Act of Valor. These guys take the term “extreme sport” to a whole new level. Watch in amazement as they master one-of-a-kind parabatic and flag performances and fly their parachutes inverted or straight towards the ground at over 100 mph! And get ready because once these jumpers hit the ground, they drop their gear and head straight for the crowd line, handing out high-fives to excited fans!
